‘Ello Kiddies, in case you never saw this one 5 footish, screwy eyed, seemingly ever acid tripping, dangerously cowboy-booted Texan David Yow dive into a sea of people during the “Sea Sick” portion of a Jesus Lizard live set, see him float and mumble to demons intelligible only to him and those equally mesmerized by a bass so driving you may as well be lowriding, freaknik circa 1991… well in case you never, then you’ve never seen a “stage dive.” Weird thing is I am seeing them tonight at a place where the seats are screwed to the ground. Not sure how he’ll be upheld in such a situation. Maybe I’ll bring my screwgun. Check them on tour. Tonight in Atlanta, and the 16th in NY and other dates and places along the way to a finale in Chicago.––CM
