Film: Aristide and the Endless Revolution

Casey McKinney

First of all donate to the American Red Cross and PIH if you want to help the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti (but ignore the texting and email scammers out there trying to make a buck off of people’s charity). While a 7.0 earthquake would do heavy damage anywhere, in a place like Haiti that has been constantly denied democracy and enslaved by debt, it’s no doubt their structures would come down so easily and completely. If you are curious how a country has been so poor for so long I suggest this movie. Call it biased if you will, I don’t care. There’s history here that I think many Americans (and French) are unaware of. -CM
