From New York Magazine

Tim Burton got his start at Walt Disney studios, where he worked for several years as an animator before jumping to live-action directing with the awesomely weird “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure”. Burton’s show at Moma shows a different side of the prolific director, consisting of his paintings, photographs, drawings, conceptual work, storyboards and costumes for his films, spanning from his childhood to now. Burton’s artwork is as ghoulishly charming as his films are, so check this one out. -ABP
