Dumbo Gets Mad is like…like…The Clientele meets Clinic…and I know, comparisons are cheap. But I found out about them because they were first likened to Tame Impala, those Australian neopsychaphytes, and Ariel Pink (but not as out there as he) in some computer scheme, maybe genius on iTunes. One day Watson, the computer that beat all the Jeopardy stars, may make all my musical decisions for me, but until then I’d rather dream the sweet dreams of this chill surf video of DGM and look forward to summer and waves. It’s super enjoyable and their album is well worth getting, and I’m two weeks late mentioning that (more reviews, late or not to come). -CM
